With the change in coaching staff came a change in recruiting and we are now seeing a renewed interest in playing at this level from outside our usual recruiting grounds. We are also seeing more club participation. Included in the recent signings are 3 High School Players and several current college players.

"I am excited to have the enthusiasm of the new players," said Jill Lounsbury, General Manager. "It makes all the players remember how exciting it is to be able to play at this level"

After a tough ending to the 2007 Fall GGWSL season, marred by many rainouts and a lack of available players, the new players are a welcome addition.

"Last season ended with three straight losse. However I have never been more proud," Lounsbury added, "even down 2, 3 and 4 players we still fought for the entire 90 minutes and frustrated our opponents. It was actually some of the best soccer I have seen in quite awhile and I smiled throughout all three games".

Will there be smiles for this season? "Absolutely. With a full squad of young and veteran talent, I expect to be smiling all the way to the GGWSL finals and into the WPSL summer season" said the enthusiastic GM Lounsbury.
