SACRAMENTO, CA (06/04/10) - The Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) will see a full slate of matches this weekend, as each division in all five conferences from the East to the Pacific will officially kick off their 2010 campaigns. San Jacinto College-South Campus Stadium will be the place Friday & Saturday (June 5-6) as Houston South Select kicks off Big-Sky South Division action, hosting Final Four host Dallas Premier tonight and the Forth Worth Panthers tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. Dallas recently won the USASA Region III championship and have a impressive roster this year, which includes 2009 All-WPSL selections Kendall Juett & Erin Scott.

DPSC has also announced a double-header with FC Dallas of Major League Soccer (MLS), as the Pacific-North's California Storm with Sissi & Brandi Chastain will travel to Pizza Hut Park this Saturday, July 3rd for the first match, while the Kansas City Wizards will take on the home side in the night cap. In the Pacific-South, first-place LAFC Chelsea (2-0-0 WPSL Pacific-South) faces a dual threat against the 2009 first & second place sides, respectively. Head Coach Manny Martins side hosts Ajax America (1-0-0 WPSL Pacific-South) Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at La Canada High School while traveling to beautiful Torero Stadium to face SD United (1-0-0 WPSL Pacific-South) on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Martins will have his two WPSL Team of the Week honorees Elise Britt and Shanna Hudson at his disposal in hopes of continuing his team's bright start.

"Our opening victories were affirmation of our approach and we hope to continue our momentum," said Martins. "The quality of the players on the roster has also had a positive impact on the training sessions, which in turn improves the team's overall level of play."

2009 Big Sky-North champion Arizona will roll the ball out for the first time, as they play a home-and-home with Phoenix with the Rush hosting tonight's tilt at Murphey Field while the Del Sol host at Reach 11 tomorrow - both kick off at 7:00 p.m. Further east, Iowa Rush opens Midwest-North play by hosting a double-header against the Madison 56ers on Saturday (1:00 p.m.) at the University of Iowa Soccer Complex while on Sunday, the team goes up against F.C.
