Nighthawks Coach Named as Technical Advisor of Ghana National Team
April 28, 2006
HAWKS HEAD COACH
ROBERT SACKEY |

San Francisco, CA - The San Francisco Nighthawks are proud to announce that their coach, Robert Sackey, has been asked to serve as the Ghana National Team Technical Advisor and Scout. Sackey will join the Ghana team in June for World Cup play.
Ghana will compete in Group E, which includes Italy, Czech Republic and the United States. Robert, who recently became a United States citizen, is obviously somewhat torn between Ghana and the U.S.; but is likely to remain ultimately loyal to the Ghanian men's team. If this were the Women's World Cup however, it may be a bit different given his association and affection for the Nighthawks players.
In his absence, the team will be coached by Jeff Wilson. Jeff has coached the team through recent practices and GGWSL games and he brings the same emotion and dynamic (without the African rhythm) as Robert.
Sackey will return to the Hawks after the conclusion of the World Cup in July.
