Budweiser Silver Mug Invitational Tournament

San Francisco, CA - The Hawks, once again, will be participating in the prestigious Budweiser Silver Mug Invitational Tournament to be held in Las Vegas, NV, February 18-20, 2006. The Silver Mug Tournament is comprised of highly competitive and successful teams from the WPSL, Premier or Division 1 leagues from throughout the country who participate by invitation only.
WPSL teams that have participated in the past include: San Francisco Nighthawks, FC Indiana (2005 WPSL Champions), California Storm of Sacramento (1999, 2002 & 2004 WPSL Champions), San Diego WFC SeaLions (2001 WPSL Champions), Ajax America Women (2001 WPSL Champions & 2004 Open Cup Champions), and Lamorinda East Bay Power.
According to Jill Lounsbury, Nighthawks General Manager, the Hawks have assembled its strongest winter team to date for the tournament. Players expected to play include: Jordan Iantorno (former UC Berkeley player & current Hawks Team Captain), Christina Quintero (WPSL MVP, SFSU All-time scorer), Alea Kerch (former UC Berkeley player & WPSL MVP), Erica Holland (current Stanford player), Cat Cain (former UC Berkeley player & 4-year Captain), Cami Hernandez, Anne Guina and Stephanie Randall (current University of San Francisco players), Joelle Sugai (former University of Hawaii player, Captain and 1st Team All WAC), and Kristi Christensen (current Santa Rosa JC player & Defense Captain).
