Looking For A Few Good Players
December 8, 2005
San Francisco, CA - The San Francisco Nighthawks will be conducting tryouts during the month of December for the upcoming Spring 2006 Golden Gate Women's Soccer League (GGWSL) season and this summer's Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) season.
The team has a core of players in place for both teams. However, the Hawks are always seeking high caliber players who have the interest and commitment in playing soccer at the highest level.
The Nighthawks are founding members of the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL), currently ranked the most competitive women's soccer league in the U.S. and the second most competitive women's soccer league in the world by Women's World Football Rankings www.womensworldfootball.com.
The Nighthawks also compete in the 54 team, 8 division Golden Gate Women's Soccer League. The Hawks have won back-to-back titles in its Premiere Division.
This spring, the Nighthawks will play friendlies against leading WPSL teams, participate in college and amateur tournaments, play friendlies against regional D1 colleges and universities, and defend their GGWSL Premier Division spring league title in preparation for, what's expected to be, a very competitive WPSL season beginning in June 2006.
The Nighthawks are seeking D1 or higher caliber players. If you are interested in trying out please contact Jill Lounsbury at jillprod@yahoo.com.
