Nighthawk Social Culture Club
August 1, 2005
San Francisco, CA - The Hawks have slowly improved their record in the very strong WPSL. While other teams have added National Team and former WUSA players, the Nighthawks have trained and cultivated talented and committed youth players and pushed the core players from previous seasons. Although 3 wins and 1 tie did not satisfy the team or its coach Robert Sackey, we did send a message to the teams we beat and the teams we came close to beating.
The "family" approach the Hawks have always demonstrated may not sit well with some opposing coaches, but our "social culture" Football Club attracted some very good, very high-level players who enjoyed the combination of great competitive soccer and a fun social environment.
